Elmer, my former neighbor Merel, in Paradiso was great impressive emotional and a bit dirty and magical. Music, words, performance, direction, design, clothing, dance, all became a cocktail that tasted so good! Thanks y’all! ❤️😍🤸🏼♂️ Best wishes for 2025!
My perfumes exhibited in the Dutch Theatre Museum in the nine-tees.
Since I graduated from the Rietveld Art Academy I created perfumes from places, situations and remembrance. Here are my perfumes and bottles about the senses.
Golden Ophelius, a perfume men dream of & Hameletta, a wet dream for women.
Twenty five years Kenpenaerstudio! Celebrated with open studio’s with movies art-films presentation of design and art theatre and music performances. A day to remember.
I presented my opera drawings and parts of the libretto. With music from @thomasvgeerts.
And I showed my Crash paintings and graphic score based on a real story from filmmaker Tjepke Zijlstra (@peppe_zucchini). Visualizing the energie of a near dead experience after a crash. A child from about 6 years said he had seen those lights when he broke his arm, and a psychic man said it was his daily experience, those energies and recognized the spiritual figure.
A great performance of dance company Leina Roebana and Dyane Donck Compagny (sound, music) Everything is so intergraded and comes so beautifully together. Proud of my colleague Diane Donck who created the beautiful musical story. It was like a surrealistic dream.
The photos are taken before the start of the performance.

On the Roof: on top of a building in Amsterdam Neco took as om a trip to Mozambique. We heated the rithme of the land the sounds of the wind and the birds, the stories of his grandparents and his dad who was absent. We clapped and sang together. That was really a wonderful experience. Thanks Neco!
The new version of West Side Story made me aware how modern the music of Bernstein still is and how actual the theme still is. It shows the spiral of aggression and revanche creating more pain and grieve. As it was in the Romeo and Julia of Shakespeare. The Audience was crying and shouted noooo!
The translation was horrible often not even close to what they sang or meant.
Rules because of Covid where strictly applied so that felt good.

Voor en door kinderen. Maar iedereen is welkom. Met kinderorkest van Zuiderwoude en Waterlandse Harmonie en Thomas Geerts. Kom lekker verkleed. Ik zing een vies Halloweenlied en lees een Surinaams griezelverhaal voor. Tot grrrr aaarch… Waterlandse Harmonie
The performance was great. Children sang the song well, and the children’s orchestra played great! Lots of happy scary moments. I read a Surinam ghost story.
