With my friend writer Rashid Novoire I’m prepping a book for children. Some first ideas sketches about a firefly going to the North from Surinam to Amsterdam. Really lookin forward to start ❤️
Work in the Amsterdam Museum
My work is as we speak part of the exhibition in the Amsterdam Museum: Faces of the North. Because of Amsterdam 750 years in 2025, the works will be shown in the Frans Hals Museum in Haarlem. Nice 👍🏼😀
A preview of my work
The client saw the works as a digital preview. First one to dark. Second option. Time to consider.
Frans Franciscus
Going through my drawing Diaries as art historians Claar Griffioen an Paul van den Akker are writing about Frans Franciscus. We spend time together in Berlin. I just had finished the Rietveld Academie and Frans was in his last year of Artibus. We were intrigued by the Holy Sebastian. I told Frans More religious stories as he was a Atheist. Me too but was raised as a Catholic.
Cliënt visit
Making everything ready for the visit of a client. A great couple who had there house done and have space for a big work. Those are about 200×120 or 150.
The hand of my father. Art Project.
Working on this project about the hand of my father blown away by a grenade right after the war. While cleaning the woods with other young solders. Without any protection or instructions by the Royal Army.
This is one of his old hands that he had kept in his storage.
Eindhoven expo
Two beautiful small expositions, one with little objects. The other about Building a new world. With a.o. Constant Nieuwenhuys, Rob Voerman, Floris Hovers, Gerbrand Burger.
Paleis Het Loo
I had not expected that Paleis Het Loo would be so dark and depressing.
Some nice paintings fought my eye. Gross are the waste paper basket made out of feet of elephants. But yea prince Bernard was above the law.
The gardens had parts that I really liked. From above they looked very open but walking through them give a more intense experience.
G Sus and his cross
Wearing my G Sus beany. See how his cross arises from it. A miracle at the Amstel 😁. Waiting to become holy.
AI art
Visiting the AI architecture exhibition in the Architecture Museum in Haarlem. works of my friend and colleague Leon van Kuijk!
