Augmented Reality glasses

AR glasses is a pretty new product. Looking through the glasses one can see an world that’s projected over the reality. It works in combination with the little device I have in my hand.

Great options for new inventions. At the University of the Arts Utrecht ❤️ How can this work with music and visuals and games/ interaction. We are about to find out with students of Games and Music Technologies

Creating in Friesland

Working on a graphic score

My temporary studio in Friesland as a visitor of Machteld van Buren (her painting behind me) and Peter van Lier (poet and writer). Great to work on this spot near the sea and the mudflats.

Graphic Score for Marion

Started working on a Graphic Score in remembrance of my sweet sister and great friend Marion, who recently past away.

Part 1: childhood to grownup and birds

Part 2: our trip through Cuba and Salsa

part 3: our last visit at the sea and the horror of dying

Notes of a Nut

At work. Almost finished my graphic score: Notes of a Nut. Based on the war by the Russians. It’s been a long slow proces. But never giving up and keep on working to process what visuals mean in sound. Love doing this

Azdaya, a graphic score

Notes of a nut. Graphic score in the making. Related to the play: Notes of an idiot / Diary by an idiot, from the Russian writer Gogol. He describes how an insignificant civil servant suffers from delusions of magnanimity.
The name of the monster is Azdaya. It has many heads. It’s goal is destruction.

CRASH

With Friend and director Tjepke Zijlstra from Luim film. He gave me the assignment to deliver visuals for his experimental film/installation; Crash.

I focus on the energie and flashbacks de main character has when he left the car after been in a severe crash! We stand in front of the visual research that should finally become a graphic score. It is very abstract.

As research I did a.o. an interview with a person who had been clinical dead two times.
Do you have a sort of experience like that?
