CRASH

With Friend and director Tjepke Zijlstra from Luim film. He gave me the assignment to deliver visuals for his experimental film/installation; Crash.

I focus on the energie and flashbacks de main character has when he left the car after been in a severe crash! We stand in front of the visual research that should finally become a graphic score. It is very abstract.

As research I did a.o. an interview with a person who had been clinical dead two times.
Do you have a sort of experience like that?

Mooimakers at the roof of the Hollyday Inn

For the Project Mooimakers. A community art project at Amsterdam North I did some visual research and made a picture of the North Riverside Area. The manager Fillipe Silva showed me the way to the rooftop.

Bottleposing

Expressing you care about (the rising) of the water and environment. By doing the bottle pose you pose as if you fill a bottle with water and take it out of the sea or ocean. Based on the performance of the Dutch absurdist artist Wim T. Schippers.

Calefax Reed Quintet

A great visitor in my studio last year: Jelte Althuis from the wonderful Calefax Reed Quintet, studying on my graphic scores! Maybe for a future joint event… Calefax is familiar with the experimental approach. They also performed the Garden of earthly delights of Jeroen Bosch: https://youtu.be/h1-gqSPMD3k.

Storm, birds and art

The bird disco, gone with the wind 🥺

The storm from last weekend took one of the five artworks from my project Diversity in One from the Meeuwenlaan in Amsterdam. Hundreds of kids had participated so I hope to find it back and replace it!

Museum Kranenburg.

Museum Kranenburg, The roaring twenties. What a delightful exhibition! nice how it shows same themes from different angles and a diversity of artists! The roaring twenties after the Spanish flew had a lot of connections with the twenties we live in.
